If you want your fans to do something these are your rules.
- Reward. Have a big carrot. People need a good enough reason to disrupt their day-to-day lives to care about your brand/cause. This is a good way to bring in new customers.
- Recognize. Make ‘em famous. Let your fans be involved in your campaign and give them credit for it. Much like crowdsourcing, but it should be bigger and more collaborative than that.
- Reconnect. Connect them to peers of a similar passion. Be the hub, the outlet where your fans find friends and connections. Beware, this is a long-term strategy and if you’re not prepared to commit years and manpower to the project then you should move on.
